At Taupo set your car's odometer to zero. Drive south
along State Highway One (lakefront) and turn left onto
State Highway Five to Napier. After approx. 114 Km.
turn right into Glengarry Road, drive to the end of
the road (approx. 20 minutes) and turn right. Take the
first left into Apley Road go to the end of the road
and turn left into Dartmoor Road. Silverford is approximately
3 Km on the left just after Riverside Winery. Note:
Part of Glengarry Rd. is a loose metal but is twenty
minutes quicker than going through Napier.
From Napier:
Go to Taradale (10 minutes drive). Follow the directions
from Taradale.
From Taradale: (10 minutes drive to Silverford)

Take the Puketapu Road to Puketapu and turn left onto
Dartmoor Road at the Hotel. Silverford is on the right
approximately 3.5 Km from the Hotel - just after the
right hand bend at the end of the long straight. If
you get to Riverside Wines on the right you have gone
too far. If you get to Apley Road you have gone far
too far!
From Hastings: (20 minutes drive to Silverford)

Take Heretaunga (pronounced "heratonga") Street
West and straight into Omahu Road. Follow the road to
Fernhill and cross the bridge over the
Ngaruroro River. Immediately after the bridge stop at
the cross-roads (the main Road bears around to the right).
Go straight across onto Swamp Road and turn right at
the end. Take the first left onto Vicarage Road and
the first left again onto Dartmoor Road. Silverford
is 3 Km. On the right.
Silverford is marked at the gate. Continue straight
up the Oak lined drive to the homestead.
